129 Porta Potty Rental Questions, Answered

This porta potty rental FAQ answers the questions people ask before booking in Mesquite: prices, same-day delivery, cleaning, billing, placement, headcounts and job site rules. Each answer is short and specific, written the way our dispatch desk answers on the phone.

Live answer Mon–Sat, 7 AM–7 PM. Texted quotes in about 15 minutes.

Pricing and payment

How much is a porta potty for one day?

There is no one-day price. A single standard porta potty for an event runs $225–$295 for the whole weekend or 1–3 day event, with delivery and pickup included.

Why do you need my address just to give a price?

Delivery and pickup are priced by mileage from our Mesquite yard, and we confirm that a truck can reach your spot on your dates. With a ZIP code we can usually quote in under a minute.

Is the price all in, or is delivery extra?

Event prices include delivery and pickup. 28-day job site prices add a one-time delivery and pickup charge on the first cycle. Your quote shows each line and the total.

Is your price before or after tax?

Quotes list sales tax as its own line where it applies, so the total you see is the total you pay.

Do you charge a fuel surcharge?

No surprise fuel lines. If anything about mileage affects the price, it is already in the delivery line on your quote.

Do you charge a rush fee?

Only when we must pull a truck off its route for a same-day order. That fee is $75–$125, and we say so before you book.

Is there a removal or pickup fee?

Pickup is included in event prices and in the first-cycle delivery charge on 28-day rentals. There is no separate removal fee.

Why was my last porta potty so much cheaper?

Prices for fuel, labor and disposal have risen, and some low quotes leave out delivery, tax or servicing. Ask any vendor for an all-in total to compare fairly.

Another company quoted me less. Can you match it?

Send us the written quote. If it is for the same unit, dates and servicing, we will look at it. Often the lower quote leaves out delivery or tax.

Do you have a discount for two or more units?

Yes, in effect. Units on one truck share one delivery charge, so the price per unit drops as you add units.

Do you offer senior or military discounts?

Ask when you call. Discounts depend on dates and stock, and we will tell you plainly what applies.

Are churches and nonprofits tax-exempt?

Yes, if you send a Texas sales tax exemption certificate before billing. We then remove tax from the invoice.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Event rentals are paid in full at booking to hold the unit. 28-day rentals are billed at the start of each cycle.

What payment methods do you take?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, by phone or a secure pay link sent by text or email.

Do you take cash or checks at delivery?

No. Drivers do not collect payment. Pay by card or link before delivery.

Can someone else pay for my rental?

Yes. A company card, church card or family member can pay through the pay link, and we can list their name on the invoice.

Can I put the rental under my business name?

Yes. Give us the business name and billing contact, and the invoice will show it.

How do I sign the invoice?

We text or email an e-sign invoice. Tap the signature box, type your name, sign with your finger and tap submit. No printing.

I did not get the invoice email. What now?

Check spam or junk first. We also send it by text, and we can resend it while you are on the phone.

Is the price per unit or for my whole order?

Quotes show both: the price per unit and the order total with delivery, pickup and tax.

Delivery and timing

Can I get a porta potty today?

Usually yes in Mesquite and nearby towns, when you call (361) 213-6286 by 12 noon Monday through Saturday.

How fast can you deliver if I call in the afternoon?

Afternoon calls are usually delivered first thing the next morning.

What days do you deliver?

Monday through Saturday. We do not deliver on Sundays.

What time will the truck come?

Delivery runs between 7 AM and 6 PM. We cannot promise an exact time, but the driver calls 30 to 60 minutes ahead.

Will the driver call before arriving?

Yes, 30 to 60 minutes before arrival, at the number on your order.

My party starts at 2 PM. Can you guarantee delivery by noon?

We avoid that risk by delivering the day before your event at no extra charge.

Why deliver Friday if my event is Saturday?

Weekday routes are reliable, and you are not waiting for a truck while guests arrive. You pay for the event, not the extra day.

Can you pick up on Sunday?

No. Weekend event units are picked up Monday. Ask if you need Saturday evening pickup; it is sometimes possible for a fee.

Do I pay for the extra days between Friday and Monday?

No. Weekend event pricing includes Friday drop-off and Monday pickup.

How far ahead should I book?

For a single unit, a few days is usually fine. For holiday weekends, weddings and trailers, book 1 to 4 weeks ahead.

What if Friday delivery is sold out?

We deliver Thursday instead at the same price.

How long until my unit is picked up after I call?

Usually within 1 to 2 business days. Billing stops the day you ask.

Do I have to call to schedule pickup?

Yes for 28-day and open-ended rentals; units are not picked up automatically. Event units are picked up on the date in your order.

Do you deliver outside Mesquite?

Yes, about 35 miles out, including Garland, Forney, Rowlett, Rockwall, Plano and Arlington. Farther towns are next-day or later.

Is same-day available in Forney or Rowlett?

Sometimes. Those towns are about 14 miles out; call by 10 AM for the best chance.

Can I change my delivery date?

Yes, with notice before 3 PM the day before delivery, subject to availability.

Can I add a unit after booking?

Yes. Add units or a hand wash station up to the afternoon before delivery.

Do you deliver during bad weather?

We deliver in rain. Lightning, ice or flooding can delay routes; we call if your window changes.

Do you deliver to city parks?

Yes, once you have the park reservation or permit. Tell us the pavilion or field so the driver finds the spot.

Can you deliver to a gated community?

Yes. Give us the gate code or tell the guard to expect a portable toilet truck.

Units and features

What is inside a standard porta potty?

A toilet seat over a holding tank, a urinal, toilet paper, a hand sanitizer dispenser, a coat hook and a roof vent.

How big is a porta potty?

Our standard unit is about 44 inches wide, 48 inches deep and 88 inches tall.

Will a porta potty fit through a 4-foot gate?

Usually, yes. A 44-inch unit fits a 48-inch gate. A 36-inch gate is too narrow.

Do you have porta potties that flush?

Yes. Deluxe units have a foot-pump flush and sink. VIP cabins and restroom trailers have real flushing toilets.

Do you have porta potties with a sink?

Yes. Our deluxe unit has a foot-pump sink with soap and paper towels inside.

Do you have handicap porta potties?

Yes. Our wheelchair-accessible units have a ground-level floor, wide door, grab bars and room for a 60-inch turning circle.

Is a handicap unit the same as ADA-compliant?

The unit gives the space and grab bars. Full ADA compliance also depends on placement, route and count at your event.

Do you have family-size or bigger units?

Our ADA unit is the roomiest single unit and works well for parents with small children.

Do you rent restroom trailers?

Yes, 2- to 4-stall trailers with flushing toilets, vanities, mirrors and climate control.

What does a restroom trailer need?

Level, firm ground the truck can reach, a garden hose or onboard water, and two 120V outlets within about 100 feet.

Do you rent hand washing stations by themselves?

Yes, though most go out with toilets on the same truck.

Are event units different from construction units?

Yes. Event units are our newest, cleanest stock and are reserved for parties and weddings. Construction units are sturdy and serviced weekly.

Do units have lights inside?

Standard units use a translucent roof for daylight. For night events, add a battery light or choose a VIP cabin or trailer.

Can I get a porta potty with a lock?

Yes. We add a hasp so you can use your own padlock.

Do porta potties smell?

A serviced unit with fresh deodorizer has little odor. Heat, heavy use and skipped service cause smell, so we plan service around your headcount.

Do you have pink or colored units?

We have some colored event units. Ask when you book; colors depend on stock.

Do you provide toilet paper?

Yes, every unit arrives stocked. Weekly service restocks it.

Do you rent holding tanks?

Ask us. We quote holding tank setups by size and service frequency.

Do you rent dumpsters or fencing?

We focus on portable restrooms, hand wash stations and pump-out service.

Can I buy a porta potty?

We rent and service units. Renting is usually cheaper once pumping and cleaning are counted.

Cleaning and servicing

How often is a porta potty cleaned?

Once a week on 28-day rentals, on the same weekday. Event units arrive sanitized.

What happens during a service visit?

We pump the tank, rinse and scrub the interior, disinfect touch points, add fresh deodorizer water, restock paper and sanitizer, and check the door and level.

Is weekly service included in the price?

Yes, on every 28-day rental.

Can I get service twice a week?

Yes. Extra visits run $65–$95 each, or ask for a twice-weekly plan.

Do event rentals get cleaned during the event?

Weekend events do not include mid-event cleaning. Large or long events can add a service visit.

Will the service tech need access to my property?

Yes. Leave the gate unlocked or give a code on service day.

Will you text before servicing?

We can text the morning of service, and we keep the same weekday so you can plan.

What if the unit is full before service day?

Text us. We add a visit, usually within 1 business day.

Do you service in summer heat?

Yes. In July and August, crews over 10 workers often move to twice-weekly service.

What if someone vandalizes the unit?

Call us. We clean or replace it. Vandalism damage may be billed under the rental terms.

Do you clean up spills around the unit?

Yes, during service. If a unit tips, call us right away.

Where does the waste go?

Our pump trucks haul waste to a licensed wastewater treatment facility.

Rental length and billing

How long can I rent a porta potty?

As long as you need: a weekend, a week, or month after month in 28-day cycles.

What is a 28-day billing cycle?

Long-term rentals bill every 28 days instead of every calendar month. Each cycle includes 4 weekly services.

If I only need it 2 weeks, do I pay for 28 days?

On job site rentals, yes. For 1 to 14 days, ask for our short-term rate instead.

Why is the first month higher?

The first cycle includes delivery and pickup. Renewals are lower.

How much is the second month?

Renewal cycles usually run $185–$245 per standard unit with weekly service.

Can I rent month to month with no end date?

Yes. It renews every 28 days until you call for pickup.

How do I stop billing?

Text or call to schedule pickup. Billing stops the day you ask.

Can I rent a porta potty for a week?

Yes. One-week rentals include delivery, pickup and one service.

Can I rent for 10 days?

Yes. Our short-term rate covers 1 to 14 days.

Can I extend an event rental?

Yes, if the unit is not booked for another event. Ask before your scheduled pickup.

Do you offer yearly rates?

Yes, for 6-month or longer commitments.

How does billing work for multiple sites?

Builder accounts get one invoice per cycle listing every unit by address.

Placement and your property

Where should I put the porta potty?

On flat, firm ground within about 15 feet of where the truck can park, with a clear path and no low wires.

Can it go in my backyard?

Yes, if the gate is at least 48 inches wide, the path is firm and the truck can park within reach.

Can it go on grass?

Yes, on dry, level grass. After rain we prefer pavement or gravel.

Can it go on a slope?

A gentle slope is fine; we level the unit. Steep slopes are unsafe.

Can it go in the street?

We place on private property by default. Ask the City of Mesquite before placing a unit at the curb or in the right-of-way.

Can it sit against my house?

Yes, on a flat slab with room to open the door. Keep it a few feet from windows.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

No. Mark the spot, unlock the gate and answer the driver’s call.

How do I mark the spot?

Use a cone, chair, flag or chalk X, and text us a photo if you like.

What if the driver cannot reach my spot?

The driver will call you and place it at the closest safe spot. If no safe spot exists, a trip fee may apply.

Will the truck damage my lawn?

We stay on pavement when we can and use a dolly for the last stretch. Tell us about sprinkler heads and soft spots.

Can it go near my septic tank?

Keep it off the tank lid and drain field so the truck and unit do not compact them.

Which way should the door face?

Away from tables and the street, and toward a lit path for evening use.

Does my HOA allow porta potties?

Many HOAs allow temporary units for remodels and events. Check your covenants and consider a side-yard placement.

Can it be placed in a parking lot?

Yes, with the owner’s permission and out of drive lanes.

A trailer suits 100 to 300 guests with water and power nearby and a dressier dress code.

Can you place units at a church parking lot?

Yes, out of drive lanes, with the church’s permission.

Do you serve rodeo-season events?

Yes. Mesquite’s rodeo season runs June through August, so we plan heat-season service for those weekends.

Point them to the unit with a sign or path lights, and keep a spare roll of paper nearby for long events.

One toilet for up to 20 workers; above 20, 1 seat and 1 urinal per 40; above 200, 1 seat and 1 urinal per 50 (1926.51 Table D-1).

Does OSHA require hand washing stations?
